Bundi is city of glorious past and promising future. Bundi is a city and a municipality of about 88,000 residents (2001) and lies in the Hadoti district of Rajasthan state in northwest India. It is the organizational command center of Bundi District. The city lies near a slim gorge, and is bordered on three sides by hills of the Aravalli Range. There are over 50 step wells in Bundi, of which only a handful have been maintained. Many houses in Bundi are painted with blue.

There are a lots of small tourists attraction places in Bundi. Taragarh Fort, Shikar birj, Jait Sagar and Phool sagar etc are the main places of attraction that comes under top attraction places of Rajasthan. The Nawal Sagar is a huge square-shaped simulated lake in the middle of Bundi which contains several undersized islet. Keshoraipata, Ramgarh Bijolia, Menal and Dugari are also important places of attraction. The largest of Bundi's baoris or step wells is the intricately-carved Raniji ki Baori.. The Dabhai Kund also identified as the jail kund is the main kund in Bundi. Shekhar Burj is the name of the place that was used by Kings for hunting. Sukh Mahal, Eighty four pillared Cenotaphs are the main visiting destination place of this city.

Bundi is well connected to other important cities of Rajasthan such as Jaipur, Ajmer, and Kota etc. Buses run to and from Delhi too. Bundi is linked to Kota, Chittaurgarh, and Delhi by train. Though the best option is to travel to Kota by train and catch a bus/taxi to Bundi. Auto rickshaw is the only mode of public transportations but it needs some bargaining too.
