Ranthambore is a fascinating blend of history and nature. Ranthambore has been a focal point of historical developments of Rajasthan. It is situated in Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, about 130 km from Jaipur, which is also the nearest airport. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, the ruler of Amber the city today has a population of more than 5 million residents. Ranthambore Fort and Ranthambore National Park is the main Attraction tourists’ destination. Inside Ranthambore fort there are three Hindu temples dedicated to Ganesh, Shiva and Ramlalaji constructed in 12th and 13th centuries from red Karauli stone. Ranthambore National Park is one of the largest and most famous national parks in northern India. Other major wild animals include the tiger, leopard, nilgai, dhole, wild pig, sambar and chital. It is also home to wide variety of trees, plants, birds and reptiles. Ranthambore is also the site for one of the largest Banyan trees in India. It is surrounded today and lies within the famous Ranthambore National Park.

Anybody can travel Ranthambore without any problem as there are lots of transport facilities. The best way to travel with luxury and convenient is in taxi or car to visit inside the park. Some part of this palace can be seen on your foot. It would be better to see while walking. Other wise you can see camel, elephant and in horse safari with lots of fun or you can take an auto cycle rickshaw which is cheaper than any other means of transportation.
