Deeg palace is set around by formal Mughal gardens and is consider by some to be the second only to the Taj Mahal in their beauty and symmetry. The palace has a narrow ceiling with gently sloping iron spheres in it. When water flows on the ceiling, these spheres run over each other and create a noise like drizzling clouds. It is located in Deeg city in the state of Rajasthan district. Deeg palace is one of the top tourists’ destinations of Deeg city after "Sawan - Bhadon". Thus tourists enjoy a lot here in this palace.
Deeg palace is fine blend of Mughal and Rajput architect built by various Maharajas. The splendid apartments are finely decorated with floor tiles and beautiful intricate designs. There are other attractive sites just like Keoladeo national park, Government museum, Lohargarh fort and the palace etc. Lohargarh is also known as the Iron Fort, and occupies an entire small artificial island. Jawahar Durg and Fateh Durg is the monument which reflects the glory of past are worth visiting. The museum occupies the main central wing depicting collections dating back to 2nd century, which reflects the art and skill of the region. So tourists like to visit these places again and again.
It is placed in Deeg city which is small so you won’t have any problem to visit Deeg Palace. You can travel there by foot. It is better to walk on foot in winter seasons. For your ease you can too use other means like car local bus taxi and rickshaw. Among them rickshaw is better and cheaper to use. But it depends on the tourists on how they prefer and their budget also plays very important role. For your safety you can use car, taxi or the tourist’s bus if you are in large number. |
