Elephant Festival is celebrated in Jaipur city of Rajasthan; held at Chaugan Stadium in the month of March, at the time of holy. Elephant is considered important in Indian mythology. There are music, dance and another rajasthani caltural programmes.
The Elephant Festival begins with elephants, camels, horses and rajasthani folk dancers advancing in orderly succession. Cat walk of elephants, elephant run races, Tug of war and polo games are the main attraction of the Elephant Festival. This festival was started before 10-11 years by RTDC the Rajasthan Tourism and Development Corporation. Elephants are decorated with ornament and painting on their trunk, heads, feet and tail.
